The NetTPS diagnostic tool explores and pinpoints the unrealized potential of individuals and organizations in order to maximize their growth and productivity.
The results of the modules are unique to each individual. With your coach, you will engage in a rich exploration of possibilities, rather than be shoe-horned into some pre-conceived category or direction. As you break free of out-worn habits, you will access more and more of your potential.

Understanding Values
Understanding potential begins with understanding values. Our
values are the source of all motivation and energy. They propel
us toward what feels right and useful and away from anything
that does not. Because people have choice about what they do
and where they pay attention, trying to force them to act against
their values never works for long. Read

Frequently Asked Questions About NetTPS

"I am very effective at work, except when my hot buttons are hit. I always knew I should take a step back and cool off until I could approach it rationally. The problem was that I always knew all these things AFTER the fact... AFTER Id sent the emotionally-charged email, AFTER I'd said something I regretted, AFTER I lost composure in front of my boss... I could see this problem might begin to jeopardize my credibility. It certainly wasnt how I wanted to be. But this week, I reacted differently. This time, right when I was about to sling a defensive retort, I did indeed take a step back and did not react out of habit. I had another way to respond. It may sound like no big deal, but to me and to my co-workers, it was a big deal."

2. How do people realize their potential once they discover
it?
The short answer is that they take new actions that break themselves out of the out-worn, habitual and "automatic" patterns that limit access to potential. Consciously choosing new ways to think and act opens up new possibilities. The most important element is a commitment to working with what has been discovered. Once you understand why you act as you do and how to make new choices, you naturally want to integrate that learning into your daily activities. A coach certified in the NetTPS methodology expertly guides the process of recognizing automatic habits of thinking and behavior and exploring new possibilities.

3. How does NetTPS define potential?
Simply put, it's the hidden or latent possibilities and talents that a person or team has yet to realize.

4. How does NetTPS help people to explore potential?
Through an in-depth process of diagnosis and discovery based on data from a series of self-administered modules or questionnaires, a certified solutions provider helps you (1) explore areas of your potential that would most help you achieve your aspirations, and (2) take action to access your potential. For more information on the coaching relationship, please read Coaching FAQs.

5. How long does it take to complete each module?
Each module usually takes between 45 - 80 minutes to complete, depending on modem speed (modules are done on-line) and the amount of time spent responding. Individuals are encouraged to be honest and thoughtful, answering at their own pace and completing modules wherever they have access to the Internet.

8. What is the Value-in-Action approach?
Our Values-in-Action approach is based on the premise that when actions are aligned with core values - the values that energize and motivate-performance and satisfaction naturally increase. By the same token, a misalignment of values and actions often reveals itself in friction and uncertainty, both detriments to performance and satisfaction.
The Values-in-Action approach helps individuals become aware of their personal core values and their unconscious habits of thinking and action that limit their potential. As their awareness increases, they are returned to being "at choice" in what actions they take, rather then "at the affect" of their unconscious habits. Once this personal insight is gained, individuals begin to accomplish goals and relate to others more effectively. Communications open up, "weirdoes" that were hard to work with become easier to work with and make a contribution, differing points of view are expressed and heard more easily, disagreements contribute to solutions rather than alienate.
