Community: The Structure of Belonging by Peter Block. The author is known for giving us some of the best business and consulting books ever. While “community” is in the title, business leaders committed to creating environments of high engagement and performance will benefit by reading it. Block helps us see how we can change the existing context of community (read: organization) from one of deficiencies and entitlement to one of possibility and gifts. Questions are more important than answers in this effort, which means leadership is not a mater of style or vision, but about getting the right people together in the right way.
